Ms. Hayes is the Associate General Counsel of One Brooklyn Health System, Inc. with over twenty years of experience in healthcare law, not-for-profit corporate law, community economic development and contracts law. Ms. Hayes has long been committed to issues of community justice and development having served as Chief Operating Officer of Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement and currently serves as a board member of the New York Branch of the NAACP and Adjunct Professor at John Jay College. She is Vice Chair of the Health Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. In 2021 she was appointed by its President to serve on the State Bar Association’s Task Force on Mandated Vaccinations and Safeguarding the Public Health. She has also been appointed to the Health Law Committee of the City Bar.
Ms. Hayes earned a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law, MSPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and BS from Howard University. She is an active member of the Abyssinian Baptist Church and a proud member of the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
