For E-Permit, Visiting Students and Senior Auditors

1) If you are a current CUNY student from another CUNY campus, you are welcome to study at John Jay College as an E-Permit Student. An E-Permit enables you to study on a CUNY campus other than your home campus. Apply for an E-Permit.

2) If you are a non-CUNY student from another college/university, you are welcome to study to John Jay College as a Non-Degree (Visiting) Student. Apply as an Undergraduate Non-Degree (Visiting) Student. Apply as a Graduate Non-Degree (Visiting) Student.

3) If you are a New York State resident, 60 years of age or older, and have completed high school, you may attend John Jay College as a Senior Auditor.  Apply as a Senior Auditor.

Please Note: Non-Degree (Visiting) Students are limited to a total of twelve credits (12) unless they are part of a registered certificate program or the Addiction Studies Program and pay a higher rate of tuition than degree students; they are not able to receive financial aid and there is a $65 application fee.  Senior Auditors may enroll in up to two (2) courses on a non-credit basis and pay $80 per session/semester (application fee waived).

Applications must be submitted online by the established deadline for each session/semester. Once your Application has been submitted and processed, you will receive an email regarding registration. Registration for Non-Degree (Visiting) Students and Senior Auditors is based on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to current John Jay College matriculated students and classes may end up being closed and/or cancelled due to low enrollment.
