Joshua D. Freilich is a professor in the Criminal Justice Department and the Criminal Justice PhD program at John Jay College. His research has been funded by DHS and NIJ and focuses on the causes of and responses to targeted violence, open-source research methods, and criminology theory, especially situational crime prevention.
