Bio

Darise Jean-Baptiste is an adjunct assistant professor in the English department. She earned her MFA in creative writing from Rutgers-Newark, her MA in English literature from Brooklyn College, and BS in business management from Stony Brook University. Professor Jean-Baptiste has taught at Brooklyn College and New York City College of Technology. 

Professor Jean-Baptiste has written for The Press & Sun-Bulletin, The Ithaca Journal, and City Limits. She is a Tin House, VONA, Callaloo Creative Writing Workshop, and Hurston/Wright Foundation workshop alum. Her published work is featured at Electric Literature, Green Mountains Review, and Aster(ix) Journal
