Bio

Chernice Miller is a professor in the Department of English specializing in the intersection between the literary and digital worlds, examining the socio-educational connection between critical thinking, writing, skill building and entertainment artifacts as familiar formats for conceptual engagement. She earned a PhD at the University at Buffalo and her most recent collaborative editorial publication focused on motivating questions like How is ELA education situated historically and culturally, in terms of power and privilege? With over 50 contributors, we focused on a variety of topics and terminology broadly related to teaching and the socio-political-cultural context in which we meet our students. Fun Fact: Chernice spends her summers teaching, traveling, and working as a faculty member and program coordinator of a study abroad program at Oxford University's Trinity College.
