Amrish Sugrim-Singh - Director of Grants, Budgets and Special Projects
Amrish joined the Office for the Advancement of Research as Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs in April of 2014 and was appointed to Director of Grants, Budgets and Special Projects in August 2019. He oversees all aspects of post-award administration for John Jay’s grant portfolio, working closely with faculty and staff on budget development and management, as well as liaising with the Research Foundation of CUNY on post-award matters as they arise. He also works collaboratively within OAR to prepare reports and analyze assessment metrics to better track productivity.
Before joining John Jay College, Amrish worked in the grants offices of Queensborough Community College and Baruch College, where he gained nearly a decade of experience in proposal development and sponsored programs administration. He earned his degree in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, CUNY.
