As a student in the College Now program, we aim to provide information to facilitate your future decisions about the College Now program, the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and the college process. The college process can often be overwhelming for both students and parents. Indeed, families have many questions, concerns, and fears associated with this process. As a result, we have added some links that we thought students and parents could visit in college preparation, which may alleviate some of these apprehensions.
College Now is a free college transition program in partnership between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the New York City Public Schools (NYC PS). The mission is to help students successfully transition to college. The program provides college credit courses aligned with the first-year study at CUNY, pre-college courses that increase students’ academic readiness for college without remediation, college awareness courses and activities, full-day summer programs, and access to CUNY campus facilities and events. “Today, over 22,000 students from over 470 NYC public high schools participate in College Now.”

The College Board's website provides various information for students and parents. For example, some questions students and parents may face: is a college for me? How do you prepare for college?
